Weekends are an especially great time to daydream and indulge your wanderlust - especially when it's a warm spring day like it is in Toronto today.
What is your dream destination? Is there a place high on your list to visit 'someday'? I've got many, but one that has been top of my list for the past couple of years has been the Caudalie Spa and Hotel located in Bordeaux, France: Les Sources de Caudalie. It is located in the vineyards of Chateau Smith Haut Lafittee, and is under half an hour journey from the centre of Bordeaux. There are so many treatments and rituals to pick from - how do you begin to choose?? I want them all! I love that the treatments are done in an environment that reflects the surroundings and focuses on serenity, peace and well-being - and not in a busy, sterile environment. I can just feel the goodness emanating from the website.
The wine-growing region of France is a region that I have wanted to visit for a long time. When I picture this beautiful region and this hotel/spa in particular, I image taking a deep breath of fresh air, a feeling of calm washing over me, being warmed by the southern French sun, surrounded by stunning scenery, and enjoying relaxing spa treatments.
Caudalie has become my favourite brand of skincare products over the past few years as well, produced from this region. They are of such a high quality, smell divine, and are free from artificial ingredients - you really feel like you are doing your skin a favour when you apply them. I have noticed a real difference since using them and I am a loyal follower! The logical next step for me is to visit the heart of production... right?? That's what I tell myself anyways.
